Tom seems to have recovered from his bout with cold and flu bugs, but has lost ground with his lung capacity. Even talking or eating tires him and takes a toll on his oxygen levels. He's using the oxygen more, but is still staying fairly active. He needs more rest and naps but is continuing to work at the school, lead the choir and orchestra, play his trumpet some, and teach an adult Sunday school class. He sings in a wonderful ensemble but is finding it harder to get through practices, so realizes he may not be able to continue much longer.
This week is spring break for the school, so we are enjoying it probably as much as the kids! We have our daughter and three grandchildren with us for a little while, so the little ones are keeping us busy. And when we're not occupied with them, we're involved with our bathroom remodel project that is ongoing this month as well! It all started with a crack in the shower wall, and, well, expanded into a major overhaul. My brother, who builds barns, hasn't had much business due to the recession, so he drove down from the Sacramento area to do all the work.Things looked pretty scary after it was all gutted, but it is beginning to come together and is getting exciting. We're looking forward to having it done...eventually.
